For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;
and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. II Corinthians 4:5
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends:
Recent reports in the news have given us all an awareness of the tragic landfalls made by Hurricane Dorian. Perhaps only those in its path can fathom fully the utter destruction left in so many places. Please take a few minutes and read this appeal for financial help for survivors in the Bahama Islands, and prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you do.
The work of recovery in many places in the Bahamas has hardly begun. The crisis there is far from over. Multiple thousands of displaced Bahamians are relocating into Nassau and Freeport from neighboring Abaco and Grand Bahama Islands. At least 50 men, women, and children are known to be deceased, but thousands of Bahamians are still missing. Experts say that most of the missing may likely not be found alive.
The Well International Ministries is currently engaged in several international projects. Without question, among the most urgent is that of Pastor and Mrs. Howard Mills and the Baptist Bible Church in Nassau. For those who are not familiar with Pastor Mills and the Baptist Bible Baptist Church/Academy, let me emphasize that I have known him personally and his work for our Lord for nearly forty years. I have been honored to serve closely with him on numerous occasions. He is a man of God with unquestionable integrity. Because of his Christ-honoring testimony, he is well-respected as a leader in world evangelism throughout the Islands, as well as Stateside. Many believe, as I do, that he is being used in this difficult hour to lead in effective evangelism and disaster relief efforts.
Our help is needed now! Will you join me and prayerfully consider assisting in the outreaches there? Yes? What can we do? First, PRAY like it matters. It does. Join us by praying and continuing to pray for all who were found in the path of this epic storm. Pray for the humanitarian efforts, of course, but also especially pray for the efforts of Pastor Mills and the Baptist Bible Church in the timely spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to desperate souls there.
Then, DONATE. If you are able, give a gift of any amount to this credible relief effort.
Please make your checks for gifts payable to: BMFP: TWIM - Bahama relief
Mail to: BMFP - P. O. Box 37043 - Jacksonville, FL 32236
Please NOTE: 100% of all financial gifts will go directly to Baptist Bible Church in Nassau (Pastor Howard Mills) as they share the Gospel and confront the overwhelming crisis ahead.
There will be NO administration expense deducted from donations. An income tax deductible receipt for charitable giving records will readily available.*
Thank you, in Jesus’ Name! We look unto Him.
