Meet Me at The Well - July/August 2019

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;

and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. II Corinthians 4:5

Please take a minute and pray for the Applebys - Larry and Patti

Enlisting, Equiping, Encouraging the next generation of missionaries!

The summer of 2019 is nearly over, and we now head into even busier months ahead. We have never been more grateful for you, our faithful partners in the work of the Lord! Thank you for your prayers and faithful financial support. Thank you for your deep love for God’s Kingdom work and for us. Like you, we continue to find that Jesus Christ is worthy of each act of obedience as we introduce men, women, and children to His Gospel.

PRAISE report: Truthfully, as the month of August ends, we should say that we are gratefully breathing a little sigh of relief! Let me explain further. God opened additional doors this summer both in the Southeast and Northwest for us to share the burden for world evangelism.

Praise the Lord! Our summer schedule took us into mission meetings/conferences, revivals, pastors’ meetings, and also opportunities to fill pulpits as well as teach in the candidate training for our mission board, BMFP. In the midst of an already busy summer schedule and while preparing for international work in the fall, God saw fit for Patti and me both to need surgery. God’s timing seemed remarkable to us, but I hurry to say that His grace and healing power have been clearly demonstrated in both of us. My surgery and recovery was completely successful and without any complications. Six weeks later, just prior to Patti’s surgery and hospitalization, she was able to speak at a great regional ladies’ meeting at the Bethel Baptist Church in Salem, OR where Pastor and Mrs. Brandon (Kristie) Hardy serve. Praise the Lord! She still has a few more weeks of recovery ahead but should be able to join me on the road again soon. Thank you for your prayers. Truthfully, our summer needs have been great, but for God’s glory, our faith has remained strong and our spirits encouraged during this “little bump in the road.” We are grateful for the promises of His Word and for the prayers and encouragement of many friends.

PRAYER requests: As we continue the raising of our pre-field missions’ support, please pray that God will open additional doors and use us for His glory. Please also pray specifically for: our upcoming international team outreach in Germany in November; ongoing clarity in our vision regarding doors of opportunity, especially in Central America and Southeast Asia; continued harvest of souls in places where we no longer have access; and, ongoing distribution of Bibles and resources we have left behind.

The Well International Ministries exists to:

These objectives are accomplished through three strategic areas of ministries:

- Leading evangelistic mission teams.

- Partnering with veteran missionaries

- Equipping national pastors and their wives

- Training leadership for church plants

- Distributing Bibles and discipleship material through churches, Bible institutes, orphanages, and prisons

2. Stateside ministries through local churches

- Mission conferences and revivals

- Pulpit supply

- Family VBS and camps

- Couples retreats

- Ladies’ meetings

- TWIM Annual prayer retreat

3. Student ministries – Students One6teen (Romans 1:16)
