Meet Me at The Well - April/May 2019

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;

and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. II Corinthians 4:5

Please take a minute and pray for the Applebys - Larry and Patti

Enlisting, Equiping, Encouraging the next generation of missionaries!

We are giving thanks to the Lord for you, our faithful friends in the faith and partners in ministry. Thank you for each prayer you have offered on our behalf and for every financial contribution to the work to which He has called us. We are humbled that God has allowed us to partner with you and ultimately with Him in His mission to introduce men, women, and children in the Uttermost to the Gospel of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAISE report: We continue to spend much time on the road, sharing our deep burden for world evangelism to mission conferences, revivals, Sunday schools, prayer meetings, and literally everywhere God opens doors! We have been greatly encouraged by pastors and churches in Fl, GA, AR, and NJ who have recently invited us to serve, such as Pastor & Mrs. Mike Grover of Fellowship Baptist Church, Thonotosassa, FL, Pastor & Mrs. Mark Stevens of Calvary Baptist Church, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Pastor and Mrs. Jason Roberts of Village Green in St. Petersburg, FL. These particular meetings were unique in that these pastors are former colleagues and students from out thirty years of Bible college ministry. What a joy to see firsthand the great work God is doing through these men, their families and their Churches!

We are also grateful when God brings new friends into our lives. Almost a year ago in candidate training, we were privileged to hear Pastor Kevin Bernard preach a message on “Ignoring the Noise!” God used him greatly that week and we continue to ponder the word God planted in our hearts through that particular message. It was then a special honor to serve with him and his near wife in the mission conference of New Horizon Baptist Church, Ward AR in April.

We rejoice as we watch God make our schedule with meetings like these where we can present the burden of our future work. In addition, He was choosing to use me in the filling of pulpits and in school chapels, while He frequently allows Patti to teach in ladies’ meetings and retreats – (the most recent at the Tri-State Bible Camp in Montague, NJ.)

PRAYER requests: As we complete the raising of our necessary support, please pray that God will use us for His glory. We’ve learned never to classify any opportunity in the Lord’s work as “more important” compared to “less so.” Each of us have been given an assignment from the Lord of the Harvest and, for this season, ours is pre-field ministry. Pre-field ministry is NOT just the raising of support…It is practical ministry NOW! Also, pray for ongoing clarity in our vision regarding international doors of opportunity, especially in Southeast Asia; for a continued harvest of souls in places where we no longer have access; and for ongoing distribution of Bibles we have left behind.
