Meet Me at The Well - February/March 2019

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;

and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. II Corinthians 4:5

Please take a minute and pray for the Applebys - Larry and Patti

Enlisting, Equiping, Encouraging the next generation of missionaries!

Thank you, faithful pastors, supporting churches, and praying friends! How we thank the Lord for you partnership in reaching the lost with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These are especially busy days for us as we continue to answer God’s call on our lives. Whether we are in the States or with a team on a mission field abroad, there is no greater joy than sharing the Gospel! Your faithful prayers and financial gifts make it possible for those who have never heard a clear presentation of the Way of Salvation to hear and respond. Thank you for your investment in the Greatest Commission of all: To go! To teach! To baptize!

PRAISE report – This prayer letter update includes a few highlights of ministry in February and March 2019. First, we praise God for a great number of Stateside deputation meetings. In February, He opened more doors for us to connect with pastors and churches in mission conferences and mission-related meetings. In addition, the Lord made it possible for me to preach in a Christian school chapel and to fill pulpits in three churches. We praise the Lord for how His Spirit moved in each of those services. Please pray that decisions made in those meetings will have eternal impact.

As we travel, Patti and I often sing, ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus! Just to take Him at His Word! (L. Stead) We have found, like you, that it is truly sweet to trust the Lord. He not only prepares us for each meeting, but remains our faithful Provider and Protector in our journey.

In early March, we finished preparation for an extended mission endeavor with churches in Germany who serve both US Military personnel and nationals. It was a blessing to partner again with veteran missionaries and pastors through soul winning and tract distribution in German villages, and in the annual Euro-wide Retreat held at Rheinland Baptist Church in Landstuhl, Germany with Missionaries Gib and Kathy Wood and Mike and Leah Teague.

God gave us a great team of seven from the States who served with us for nearly two weeks. God used the gifts of each team member to help take the Gospel to souls on German streets and villages, and several were able to serve specifically with Missionaries Andrew and Ramona Wilson at Freie Baptisten Gemeide. The Lord blessed and I was able to preach in US Military churches, including Heritage Baptist Church where Missionaries Chris and Junior Parker serve. Please join us in praying for all who labor for the Lord in Europe.

PRAYER requests: In addition to our deputation (pre-field) ministries, please continue to pray for wisdom and ongoing clarity in our vision regarding international door of opportunity, especially in Southeast Asia; for a continued harvest of souls in difficult places where we no longer have access; and for new converts and the ongoing distribution of resources (first bibles) we have left behind.

Looking unto Jesus, Larry
