Good news!

One day, an outcast woman worked through her list of ordinary chores. By noon, she found herself at a rather ordinary well, engaged in conversation with, seemingly, a very ordinary man. This, however, would prove to be no ordinary day. In fact, the events recorded in John 4 are quite extraordinary! John’s Gospel gives us the account of a sinful woman who encountered Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the only begotten Son of the living God. The familiar New Testament passage reveals that Jesus saw her, He knew her, and despite all He saw and knew, He loved her.

This is not simply the unique story of one troubled woman, but the story of everyone and the decision we all face regarding what we will do with Jesus Christ. Have you had a salvation encounter with Him? God sees you, knows all about you, loves you, and wants you to have eternal life through faith in His Son. Without Jesus, we all would remain separated by our sin from God. However, Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead so that we can be saved.

Larry and Patti write, “Our personal testimonies are remarkably similar to that of this unnamed woman in John’s Gospel. While we have never drawn water from a Mid-Eastern well or suffered the heartache of multiple marriages, the same Savior saw us, knew us, and loved us. No longer thirsty! We have been to The Well! We are gladly now on His mission. We extend the same invitation that we have received, dear friends. Are you ready to receive Him into your heart by faith today? If so, come and see. Drink deeply of the Water of Life!”

How? Simply admit your need for forgiveness and be willing to turn from your sins. Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the dead. Then, invite Him through prayer into your life to be your Savior and Lord. Tired of religion? Good news! He is waiting to receive you into an eternal relationship with Him!
